You can get to the start by bus or car.

Bus transfer to Bygdin is avaliable for booking at registration for both Skyrace and Marathon runners. Ultra runners will also have the option to be transported back to Beitostølen by the shuttle bus from 15.00 - 19.00 on Friday.

For those who have not booked a bus ticket to Bygdin, the alternative option is to find a parking spot at one of the parking areas at Bygdin.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee you a parking space here, as there are limited parking spots available at Bygdin. Therefore, we strongly encourage carpooling and the use of public transportation to and from the start.

Mandatory equipment varies by distance, including warm clothes and GPS device.

We have not set any specific requirements for the rating of wind and waterproofing for jackets/pants. The most important thing is to have good products that provide good protection in the high mountains for changing weather and conditions, as well as wind and water. The longer the distance, the more important it is to have a high degree of wind and waterproofing on jackets/pants. As a participant, you are responsible for making sensible choices here.

All Ultra participants must register on Thursday. As for drop bags, they will have to be delivered 15 minutes before race start on Friday morning at 06:00.

If you are running the ultra and will not be able to pick up bib and drop bag on Thursday, you have to ask a friend to do it for you.

Marathon: Can also check in at Bygdin from 8.30 - 09.45.

Half Marathon, Skyrace and 12k: If you cannot collect your bib on Thursday or Friday you can collect on Saturday morning in Beitohallen from 07.30 - 12.00.

Friends can also pick up your bib at all times.

Yes, there will be food and drink stations:

• For Ultra: Food and drink station after ca. 38 km at Eidsbugarden and 59 km at Torfinnsbu.

• For Marathon: Food and drink station after ca. 16 km in Skamdalen and 32 km at Olevegen.

• For Half Marathon: Food and drink station after ca. 6 and 18 km.

• For Skyrace: Food and drink station after ca. 7 and 12 km.

• For 12K: Food and drink station after ca. 8,5 km.

• For all distances: Refreshments at the finish line at Bygdin on Friday and Beitostølen at Saturday.

A ticket to JTR 2026 includes, among other things, free access to the gathering and entertainment on Thursday and Friday evening in Beitostølen, all race activities at Bygdin and Beitostølen, and the JTR Afterrun celebration at Beitostølen on Saturday evening.

• If you need to withdraw, then you have to register with DNF.

• For ultra runners, if you don’t reach aid station 1 by 14:00 (8 hours) and leave by 14:30, you must drop out of the race and be recorded as DNF. The same applies for aid station 2 - 20:00 in and 20:15 out. This is important to ensure that safety can be maintained for all other participants.

• All athletes who withdraw from the race at the checkpoints will be transported back to Bygdin.

• Prize draws during the Race Brief on Thursday and Friday, July 30 and 31.

• All finishers receive an eco-friendly JTR finisher medal.

• Prizes for the top five men and women in each distance.

• Prizes for the winners of the JTR segments. The winners must be present to receive the prizes; otherwise, the prizes will go to the next person on the list.

JTR-Items ordered during registration will be distributed at check-in and bib number pickup at Beitostølen on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Marathon runners who register at Bygdin on raceday will not be able to pick up their products there, but can collect later on Friday check-in or Saturday before 12.00.

NB. You are responsible for picking up the products you ordered. Products that are not picked up will not be shipped after the event.

There will probably be some extra JTR-products available for sale at after 12:00 on saturday after all distances are finished with registration. In that case, you should arrive early after the check in has finished.

Rumors has it that some limited edition Norway Trail Series Merch will be available at registration.

Yes, we allow resale of starting spots. This must be completed well in advance of the event.

Important Rules:

• It is NOT permitted to sell above the original purchase price.

• The seller MUST provide a valid receipt to the buyer.

• Any additional products (bus tickets, t-shirts, headbands) are transferred to the buyer and must be collected at registration and bib distribution (not mailed afterward).

This option will open up after registration has closed.

All Ultra participants who want a drop bag at the Check Point (at Eidsbugarden) must deliver it before the start at Bygdin (latest 05.45).

You will recieve a drop bag at check in on Thursday. That is the only allowed drop bag for the ultra race.

The drop bags return from Eidsbugarden after the cut-off time at 14:30. They will be delivered at Bygdin within 18.00. All drop bags must be picked up at Bygdin.

In Norway, the "Right to Roam" (Allemannsretten) allows you to camp in uncultivated land (utmark) without any booking, but please respect these specific rules for the race weekend:

• Respect Private Land: Camping is strictly prohibited on "innmark" (private gardens, farmyards, and cultivated fields).

• Distance: Your tent must be at least 150 meters away from the nearest house or cabin.

• Fire Ban: A total fire ban is in effect. No campfires are allowed, but camping stoves (gas) may be used with extreme caution on non-flammable surfaces.

• Duration: Max 2 nights in the same spot.

• Bygdin: For a guaranteed spot at Bygdin with facilities at Bygdin Høifieldshotel, please book at the hotel reception upon arrival.
